Stephen Colbert interviewed Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack last night, and discussed the nutritional value of school lunches, subsidizing corn and the food pyramid. But it wasn't all serious. Before he left, Vilsack gave Colbert a 25-pound block of organic Wisconsin cheddar in the shape of Colbert's head.

Jon Stewart last night opened his program by focusing on the ongoing coverage of WikiLeaks' release of secret State Department cables, and addressed Rep. Peter King's (R-NY) call for WikiLeaks to be declared a terrorist organization.

Clearly, Jon Stewart said, WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange is "Osama bin Laden, crossed with Magneto, and the albino from the matrix with more than a scootch of the Dyson vacuum guy."

Jon Stewart last night did was he does best: poke fun at the media. He premiered a new segment, an assault on puns in cable news, aptly titled "You're Not Punny."

"They're not just painful and unpleasant, they take us out of the newscast," Stewart said. "It's like in the movies, when people start phone numbers with '555.' It's completely unnecessary."

Sometimes actions speak louder than words. Like when Vice President Joe Biden simply couldn't control his laughter over the thought of Sarah Palin winning against President Barack Obama in 2012.

Palin told Barbara Walters in an interview set to air in full on December 9 that she thinks she could win.
