“I’ve been told they will run the idea by Bernie,” president Jimmy Halliday said. “I can’t confirm that’s the plan. I know that’s a possibility.”
The manager of the Cloverdale airport said that he has heard Sanders will make a "grand entrance" at the rally, but made no mention of dropping from the sky.
Halliday told The Press Democrat that he took a Sanders staffer on a tandem jump on Thursday but had not heard about any decisions from the Sanders campaign. While he said he is hopeful for the exposure of a Sanders jump, he acknowledged it may not come about.
For those who are skeptical because of the 74-year-old senator's age, Halliday said never fear, he's led jumps for people into their 80s.
“If he feels like going skydiving, I will personally take him,” Halliday told the paper.
The Sanders campaign did not respond to The Press Democrat's request for comment.
