Federal Workers Won't Get Back Pay Until End Of Month

The government will include back pay in workers' next paychecks, which for most is Oct. 29, according to the AP

However, federal employees left in a lurch by the shutdown have a silver lining next year. The legislation that President Obama signed last night averting default and reopening government also includes a one percent pay raise for federal employees in January -- the first in three years -- barring a change of heart in Congress.
