The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee raised $8.4 million, more than $3 million above the National Republican Campaign Committee's $5.3 million haul, according to The Hill.

The Democratic National Committee raised $7.4 million while the Republican National Committee raised $7.1 million, but the RNC has more cash on hand as Democrats continue to pay off debt from the 2012 election, according to the Washington Post.

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee also outraised the National Republican Senatorial Committee by about $1 million, $4.6 million to $3.4 million.
