Bill Maher To Tea Partiers: 'The Founding Fathers Would Have Hated Your Guts' (VIDEO)

"They were everything you despise," Maher said on Real Time last week. "They studied science, read Plato, hung out in Paris and thought the Bible was mostly bullshit."

Of course, there's a big reverence for the founding fathers among the tea party set. In Tennessee, tea partiers told schools that they should teach less about the "minority experience" in order to free up time to educate students about the contributions of the founding fathers. And the House of Representatives recently read the Constitution in its entirety on the House floor.

Maher outlined the difference between tea partiers and the founding fathers: "One is a group of exclusively white men who live in a bygone century, have bad teeth and think of blacks as three-fifths of a person," he said. "And the other are the founding fathers."
