Montana's top statewide officials released a statement condemning threats from the publisher of neo-Nazi website The Daily Stormer to organize an armed march in January "against Jews, Jewish businesses and everyone who supports either" in the small ski town of Whitefish. "We say to those few who seek to publicize anti-Semitic views that they shall find no safe haven here," reads an open letter published Tuesday morning and signed by U.S. Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT), U.S. Sen. Steve Daines (R-MT), U.S. Rep. Ryan Zinke (R-MT), Gov. Steve Bullock (D) and state Attorney General Tim Fox (R).

From a TPM Prime member: "The important take away for me following the Iraq WMD debacle was the intelligence communities got it right from the start but Darth Cheney refused to take no WMDs for an answer. That the CIA could be manipulated to produce a certain kind of intelligence says more about the desire to remain employed than anything. There is a pretty good timeline of events tracking the evolution of the 'Iraq has WMD capability' notion here which makes it clear that the intelligence-gathering function can be manipulated when the goal is to produce a certain result, like regime change."
